The Air Force Nuclear Operations community of experts are sponsoring a 2022 Conventional & Nuclear Operations Independent Research and Development (IR&D) Technology Interchange Meeting (TIM). This event is planned for 12 – 16 September 2022 and will be held at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM.

This invitation is open to all DoD defense contractors with IR&D and/or corporate investments, including large and small businesses, academia, National Labs, and FFRDCs with a certified DD2345 (Military Critical Technical Data Agreement).

This engagement has broad goals to increase awareness, stimulate collaboration, seek alignment between industry’s IR&D innovation investments and the Air Force’s s high-priority science and technology needs and corresponding acquisition and sustainment roadmaps. Leading Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), AF Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), and Air Force Futures are expected to participate. Technical experts from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) are also expected to support this event.

Participation Interest
Interested parties should send an email stating their expression of interest and a copy of their certified DD2345 to the DTIC Email . Once received, the IR&D Planning Team will provide (via DoD SAFE) the detailed focus areas and further instructions on how to nominate your IR&D projects and corporate investments. Note the focus areas are marked Distribution D and will not be distributed without a certified DD2345. For information and access to the form please visit the Defense Logistics Agency Website.
